Being forced to photograph a wedding entirely indoors in the darkness of winter is more common than you might think. With high ceilings at this venue their was also no option to soften the use of flash by bouncing the light. But with modern software techniques it is often possible to create soft highkey images and this can prove to be very effective in nuetralising harsh lighting. This shot of Lorna and Clark broke all the rules when I blasted them with the full force of an untamed flash at close range.
