University Challenge

I greeted Lyndsey at her mum's house and made my way straight into the living room. All was calm as the sunlight bathed the room with a warm glow. The flowers and cards gave a hint of what was about to go on. No points for guessing that Lyndsey and Keith would be getting married today, but the outcome of their pictures seemed a bit less certain. I love the challenge of shooting a new venue so was looking forward to doing battle with Napier University where the Craighouse campus would play host to this happy occasion.
After being distracted by a steamed up lens element, some shots were fired in earnest as Lyndsey sat in the chair being beautified by a pencil. I attempted to control the sunlight by playing with the blinds as folk bustled around the house. By the time the dress went on I had plenty of shots on the board. Meanwhile, the bridal car had arrived outside and I hastily introduced myself to the driver. I would follow behind, safe in the knowledge that Hazel would be at the other end. And so we departed, bang on schedule.
Halfway down the road, the bridal car did a u-turn and headed straight back to the house. For a minute I was worried she had changed her mind, but it turned out that dad had forgotten his button hole. What a relief! We arrived slightly late and headed up the stairs into the ceremony room, where Keith and his best man were patiently waiting. As she was walked down the isle, I picked my spot and watched the registrar get things underway. The rings were duly exchanged before they sealed the deal with a kiss.
