Kerry & Kris – Trash The Dress

Kerry and Kris got married back in July (blog here) at Ghillie Dhu, and soon found themselves gracing the pages of Hello! magazine. It threw up the idea of doing something a bit different, so I was delighted when the happy couple agreed on an ambitious plan to trash the dress in Glencoe. The autumn weather teased us for days beforehand, but thankfully it all came together in spectacular style. If you were lucky enough to be driving past you might have stumbled across a beautiful view! Special thanks to Planet Flowers, Emma Motion and Bowdens Kilts for their kind support…

Thank you to the Clachaig Inn for looking after us and supplying the chalkboards used for the sequence of hitch hiking shots. We popped in for a coffee and no doubt surprised them with our impromptu visit. They even offered the use of the premises as a backdrop for photographs so we couldn’t resist taking a shot behind the bar before setting off on a 1000ft climb up Bidean Nam Bian. It was here we had a rendezvous with the monster waterfall which reminded me of the Bounty advert from the 1980’s. Kerry and Kris tackled the climb in a wedding dress and kilt (there were a few hairy moments!) before braving the spray and thunderous noise of the waterfall, which was in full force following several days of heavy rain. I can only imagine the many famous climbers who had visited the Clachaig Inn over the years would have been hugely impressed. Kerry and Kris you rocked!
